●● THE Prest­bury An­nual Parish Meet­ing will be held on Wed­nes­day, May 12, in the Vil­lage Hall on Macclesfield Road.

It is an open public meet­ing hosted and or­gan­ised by the Parish Coun­cil.

There will be an op­por­tu­nity for res­i­dents to ques­tion coun­cil­lors and to dis­cuss their views on parish mat­ters.

The meet­ing starts at 7.30 pm, to fin­ish at about 9.30pm.

Re­fresh­ments will be pro­vided. ●● THE new sea­son of Sun­day Teas starts on Sun­day, May 10, in aid of the Chil­dren’s Adventure Farm Trust at Prest­bury Vil­lage Hall. The events have been run­ning for al­most 40 years now and have built up a rep­u­ta­tion for be­ing very wel­com­ing and for serv­ing a tempt­ing ar­ray of home-made cakes and scones.

The Teas are served from 3pm to 5.30 pm and on some Sun­days there is a short free con­cert in Prest­bury Church with at­ten­dees in­vited to the Vil­lage Hall af­ter the con­cert to en­joy the tasty treats with a cup of tea or cof­fee.

The or­gan­i­sa­tions tak­ing part this year in­clude Ham­pers of Hope, Cra­dle Con­cern, Prest­bury Church Choirs, Bolling­ton and Macclesfield Sea Scouts, Prest­bury W.I, In­ner Wheel and Prest­bury Pan­tomime.

All are wel­come to at­tend.

For fur­ther in­for­ma­tion con­tact Gerry Porter on 01625 575115. ●● THE UK’s lead­ing con­fer­ence and event op­er­a­tor, QHo­tels, has ap­pointed Michael Lav­izani as the new gen­eral manager of Mottram Hall, one of QHo­tels’ 27 unique luxury four and five-star ho­tels.

The ap­point­ment fol­lows his re­cent suc­cess at Mottram’s sis­ter ho­tels, the Telford Ho­tel and Golf Re­sort and Bridge­wood Manor in Kent.

Michael joins as gen­eral manager this month and will be re­spon­si­ble for the run­ning of the ho­tel’s C&E and leisure op­er­a­tions, with 120 bed­rooms and 11 con­fer­enc­ing, event and meet­ing spa­ces cater­ing for up to 180 del­e­gates, fol­low­ing a £6m re­fur­bish­ment of the build­ing’s fea­tures and fa­cil­i­ties.

Michael Lav­izani said: “QHo­tels un­der­stands its cus­tomers like no other, with each ho­tel lis­ten­ing and re­spond­ing to what guests want to de­liver the best cus­tomer ser­vice and ex­pe­ri­ence. “It’s a unique group to be a part of and I can’t wait to de­liver some­thing re­ally in­spi­ra­tional for our guests at Mottram Hall.”
