Prom-tastic boost for charity

-

TWO young friends from Poynton put their best feet forward for a fashion event to help a charity shop launch its new clothing range in the run up to prom season.

Wilmslow High School student Jessica Waller, 16, and Chloe Watkins, 21, modelled a variety of evening dresses for the launch party at the Headway charity shop on Park Lane, which saw volunteers and customers come together for an afternoon of glamour.

The themed event was organised by Headway, a charity that supports people affected by brain injury, after shop volunteers spent months collecting a total of 90 donations of prom, bridesmaid and cocktail dresses.

Mayor of Poynton, Rebecca Horseman also turned out to show her support of the charity at the fashion event.

To donate or volunteer at the shop call Sue Watkins on 01625 877 978.
