Prom-tas­tic boost for char­ity

TWO young friends from Poyn­ton put their best feet for­ward for a fash­ion event to help a char­ity shop launch its new cloth­ing range in the run up to prom sea­son.

Wilm­slow High School stu­dent Jes­sica Waller, 16, and Chloe Watkins, 21, mod­elled a va­ri­ety of evening dresses for the launch party at the Head­way char­ity shop on Park Lane, which saw vol­un­teers and cus­tomers come to­gether for an af­ter­noon of glam­our.

The themed event was or­gan­ised by Head­way, a char­ity that sup­ports peo­ple af­fected by brain in­jury, af­ter shop vol­un­teers spent months col­lect­ing a to­tal of 90 dona­tions of prom, brides­maid and cock­tail dresses.

Mayor of Poyn­ton, Re­becca Horse­man also turned out to show her sup­port of the char­ity at the fash­ion event.
