Hall opens doors to host plant fair

ADLING­TON Hall is throw­ing open its doors for a spring fair.

The his­toric hall and gar­dens which boasts fea­tures dat­ing back to the 1600s and spreads over 2,000 acres is host­ing the Plant Hun­ters’ Fair re­turn on Sun­day, May 10.

Vis­i­tors can take a free guided tour of the gar­dens with the head gar­dener An­thony O’Grady as well as en­joy tra­di­tional teas and home made cakes.

Vis­i­tors to the plant fair and gar­den can also roam the fra­grant blue­bell woods.

Lo­cal nurs­eries will come loaded with a re­ally great mix of plants and spe­cial­i­ties to de­light plant lovers.

Ex­perts on plants will be on hand to help you make the most of your gar­den.

Janet Blow from Plant Hun­ters’ Fair said: “Spring is in full swing and our gar­dens are get­ting off to a great start.

“Now’s the time to pick out some per­fect plants to keep the colour go­ing right through the sea­son and where bet­ter to find them than at the won­der­ful Plant Hun­ters’ Fairs in your area.

The fair opens at 10.30am and closes at 4pm.
