Hall opens doors to host plant fair

ADLINGTON Hall is throwing open its doors for a spring fair.

The historic hall and gardens which boasts features dating back to the 1600s and spreads over 2,000 acres is hosting the Plant Hunters’ Fair return on Sunday, May 10.

Visitors can take a free guided tour of the gardens with the head gardener Anthony O’Grady as well as enjoy traditiona­l teas and home made cakes.

Visitors to the plant fair and garden can also roam the fragrant bluebell woods.

Local nurseries will come loaded with a really great mix of plants and specialiti­es to delight plant lovers.

Experts on plants will be on hand to help you make the most of your garden.

Janet Blow from Plant Hunters’ Fair said: “Spring is in full swing and our gardens are getting off to a great start.

“Now’s the time to pick out some perfect plants to keep the colour going right through the season and where better to find them than at the wonderful Plant Hunters’ Fairs in your area.

The fair opens at 10.30am and closes at 4pm.
