●● THE Park Tavern is hosting a debate on the issue of advertisin­g.

The event on Park Lane on Wednesday, May 6, is part of the monthly series Discussion in the Park, which aims to discuss big questions and philosophi­cal issues.

The popular event is supported by an education charity, The Raymond Williams Foundation.

It runs from 7.30-9pm and is open to anyone over 16. ●● AN Elvis tribute will be belting out the classics at The Queen’s Hotel.

Graham appears at the venue on Albert Place on Friday from 9.30pm.

Seasoned entertaine­r Jack Daniels is appearing at The Broken Cross Club.

Jack sings songs from the Sixties and Seventies including The Fortunes, The Drifters, Lou Rawls, Tom Jones and The Beatles.

He is also known for his witty banter.

Jack appears on Saturday night from 8-11.30pm. ●● SINGER and entertaine­r Andy Hofton will be performing all your favourite tunes at The Golden Lion on Moss Lane this Saturday from 8pm.

Parenting charity the National Childbirth Trust is holding a nearly-new sale of clothes and toys at the Masonic Hall on Riseley Street on Saturday from 11am-1pm.
