NET­WORK MEET

MACCLESFIELD Col­lege is hold­ing its next free Busi­ness Break­fast Net­work­ing Event on Fri­day, June 12.

The event, from 7.30am to 9am, in­cludes a free break­fast pro­vided by the col­lege’s Silk Room Restau­rant and is for pro­fes­sion­als to net­work with Cheshire busi­nesses and find out about the col­lege’s work train­ing and ap­pren­tice­ship pro­grammes.

FLOWER POWER

QUARNFORD Parish Church in Flash, Bri­tain’s high­est vil­lage, will host its an­nual flower fes­ti­val from June 13 to 16, from 11am to 7pm.

There will be a Flash Loyal Union So­ci­ety ser­vice at 2pm on Satur­day, June 13, fol­lowed by the bless­ing of the well and the Teapot Pa­rade.

The Songs of Praise ser­vice is on Sun­day, June 14, with the Benefice choir at 7pm, fol­lowed by a so­cial evening on Mon­day, June 15 at 7.30pm.

DRIV­ING TIPS

YOUNG driv­ers are be­ing tar­geted in a road safety cam­paign by fire­fight­ers.

Fire crews are work­ing across the county to en­cour­age all road users, par­tic­u­larly young driv­ers, cy­clists and mo­tor­cy­clists, of the dan­gers of us­ing mo­bile phones, eat­ing and other ac­tiv­i­ties which can cause dis­trac­tions at the wheel.

This is as part of Road Safety Week.

Of­fi­cers will be giv­ing road safety ad­vice at Hal­fords in Macclesfield on Fri­day, June 12 from 11am to 3pm.
