Ladies set record £7k at lunch fundraiser

-

AN afternoon of friends, fun, fashion and food raised a record amount for East Cheshire Hospice.

The sell-out Ladies Lunch, in the newly re-decorated Georgian Hunting Lodge at Adlington Hall, raised more than £7,000 for the hospice, with diners enjoying a silver service two-course lunch along with a fashion show by local fashion retailers.

The 150 guests also enjoyed a variety of stalls such as Spirit of the Andes from Prestbury, Potting Shed from Alderley Edge and Fruit of the Forage from Bollington. The event was compered by Harry Calder, chairman of Altrincham-based architects, Calderpeel FGP. Events fundraiser Jessica Ruth said: “The lunch was a fabulous success. We’re already planning next year.”
