●● A BARN conversion in Rainow has picked up a building award.
Work to convert the stone barn at Lower Brook Barn, Smithy Lane into a house won a highly commended award in the Best Change of Use category at the North West LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards. The work was done by architect Hayes and Partners Ltd.
Cheshire East is celebrating after three of the borough’s developments scooped top honours. ●● BOLLINGTON Arts Centre is hosting the play named Talbot House, Home from Home.
This is a story in words and music about the First World War centre for soldiers in Belgium which became the inspiration for the ‘Toc H’ Christian movement.

At Bollington Arts Centre, there is artwork from a competition to decorate White Nancy.
There is a photo exhibition at the Discovery Centre at Clarence Mill, and at Bollington Library there are paintings and poems by the children at St John’s Primary School.
