New pavilion for cricket club
CRICKETERS held a special launch event for their newly refurbished pavilion.
Pott Shrigley Cricket Club held an official opening for guests and members of the community to see the extended and refurbished pavilion.
Macclesfield MP David Rutley cut the ribbon to unveil the pavilion with club chairman Michael Hart.
The project has been completed after a £50,000 grant from Sport England and fundraising events.
Jamie Hart, club development officer, said: “We celebrated the opening with fun and entertainment including a kids kwik cricket game.
“The pavilion now provides much-improved facilities for club and community members.”
The club runs four junior teams, two Saturday teams and a Sunday team.
