Fashion critique role for former student

FASHION students at Macclesfield College enjoyed a surprise visit from former student Victoria Hordern, now studying for an MA in Fashion at Kingston University.

Victoria came into College as a guest on the design critique panel alongside course leader Angela Devoti to advise students on their final design projects.

The Year 2 students are working on their final design showcase which brings together all their skills developed over the past two years.

Angela said; “This was another great opportunity for the group to receive further guidance and support not only from myself but also by obtaining the viewpoints of an up-and-coming designer.”

She added that it was ‘always a joy’ to have former students visit.

Former student Victoria said: “Seeing the students’ initial ideas and concepts form throughout primary and secondary research was fascinating. The design development and drawing skills from all students were amazing and I can really see these students doing well in their chosen degree courses! It was an absolute pleasure to be back at Macclesfield College and give students what I hope was useful advice in their final major projects – it was very interesting being on the opposite end of the table!”
