View gets better thanks to brand new terrace
A PUB which claims to have the best views in the North West has had a brand new terrace built to give punters even more opportunity to enjoy the view.
The Hanging Gate Inn, on Meg Lane, at Higher Sutton, now has a terrace with seats and tables to the rear of the pub so that visitors and walkers can enjoy the view as they drink and dine.
Sarah Cox, who runs the pub on behalf of Hydes Brewery, said: “Hydes Brewery paid for a brand new terrace to be added to the pub which gives us lots more outdoor space for our walkers and diners to come up and enjoy the very best views in the fresh air.
“It’s so peaceful up here and a real treat to work up here – we just want more people to come up and share it with us!
“We have a great cask ale range and can help novice walkers with some simple walk routes that end back in the pub where they can treat themselves to a pint.”
