Old kids on the block tailor-make services
JP & BRIMELOW has been one of the premier property companies in south Manchester for more than 20 years. Here director Rebecca Whitehead tells us about the progress and success of the newest part of its service. OUR block management department began in February 2013 after we were approached countless times by lettings and sales clients who were unhappy with their current management company.
Matthew Coakley joined the team as the head of block management in February 2014 and has driven the company forward. Matthew brought with him over 10 years of property experience, not only in block management, but also in lettings, sales and maintenance.
With this vast experience, he understands the wider property industry, which helps him advise our clients and understand their needs. Now in our third year we are going from strength to strength.
Our service is impeccable, and testament to this, we have taken over management from Premier Estates, Braemar Estates and RMG, three of the biggest agents, not only in Manchester, but the country. We are also seeing an increase in owners who have attempted to manage buildings themselves after poor service from a managing agent coming into difficulty. There are more than 70 separate pieces of legislation to adhere to as a managing agent, along with day-to-day difficulties of running a building, which owners don’t often realise.
Here at JP & Brimelow we believe in a completely transparent service and ensure all clients are kept up-to-date with as much information as possible. Using our online leaseholder software, we can ensure quick updates to all of our clients. Our block management team has now moved to the Withington office to provide more room for growth and a better centralised position. We cover our main three office areas of Didsbury, Chorlton and Withington and all surrounding areas.
Our service is tailored to each development’s needs. This allows us to ensure the highest possible service standards with the most competitive price. We have already taken on developments, increased the service levels they receive and saved thousands on the budget. Some owners feel the need to sell their property to escape poor management companies however, this normally results in a lower value. A change in management company can lead to a much better situation.
