Pose and poise makes pupils medal win­ners

A TEAM of young sports stars were lit­er­ally jump­ing for joy af­ter suc­cess at a county com­pe­ti­tion.

Lo­s­tock Hall Pri­mary School had two en­tries in the county gym­nas­tics fi­nals held at Mac­cles­field Leisure Cen­tre.

Year five stu­dent Chloe rep­re­sented the Poyn­ton school in the in­di­vid­ual event while Ruby, Ethan, James, Emily and Vi­o­let were in the Year 3-4 team event.

Af­ter tak­ing part in the three pre-ar­ranged dis­ci­plines – vault, floor and body man­age­ment – Chloe earned a bronze medal in the in­di­vid­ual event.

Af­ter an out­stand­ing per­for­mance, the Lo­s­tock Hall year 3-4 team were an­nounced as the over­all win­ners in the team cat­e­gory.

Teacher Jenny My­ers said: “This is a huge achieve­ment for the chil­dren in­volved and Lo­s­tock Hall are im­mensely proud of them.

“They were lit­er­ally jump­ing for joy.

“Chloe earned bronze in the in­di­vid­u­als – a su­perb re­sult.”
