Pose and poise makes pupils medal winners

A TEAM of young sports stars were literally jumping for joy after success at a county competition.

Lostock Hall Primary School had two entries in the county gymnastics finals held at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

Year five student Chloe represented the Poynton school in the individual event while Ruby, Ethan, James, Emily and Violet were in the Year 3-4 team event.

After taking part in the three pre-arranged disciplines – vault, floor and body management – Chloe earned a bronze medal in the individual event.

After an outstanding performance, the Lostock Hall year 3-4 team were announced as the overall winners in the team category.

Teacher Jenny Myers said: “This is a huge achievement for the children involved and Lostock Hall are immensely proud of them.

“They were literally jumping for joy.

“Chloe earned bronze in the individuals – a superb result.”
