Charity hosts summer fair

-

THE COMMUNITY is invited to the annual summer fair at a wellloved charity.

The Rossendale Trust provides support to adults with learning and physical disabilities in purpose built apartments at the base in Sutton and houses in Buxton.

Each year at its summer fair, volunteers open their doors to the community.

A charity spokesman said: “The summer fair is a great chance for Rossendale to open its doors to the wider community and raise funds for the Trust.

“Every year we have a myriad of stalls from a huge amount of kind volunteers and tenants.

“It’s a great chance for everyone to come together and see who we are, what we do and to have some fun.

“This year is going to be bigger than ever, with many stalls and not forgetting our raffle with fantastic prizes donated by the local business community.”

Activities on the day include a raffle, games, tombola and a variety of stalls.

There will be refreshments including cream teas and a barbecue, as well as a beer tent, ice cream, woodfired pizzas, crepes and a cake stall.

The Rossendale Trust Summer Fair is on Sunday, August 2, from 1pm to 4pm, at Rossendale Hall, on Hollin Lane, Sutton.

It costs £1 for adults and children can enter for free.
