Chris says team is improving all the time
MACCLESFIELD Town striker Chris Holroyd was delighted to get his first goal of pre-season after scoring against Stockport County on Friday.
The 28-year-old helped his side run out 2-1 winners after netting one of the goals at the Moss Rose.
The clash with Stockport was Macclesfield’s latest friendly, and Holroyd believes the team has come on a lot over the past few weeks.
“It’s always pleasing to score but the main thing is working hard for the team and we’ve definitely got better in each game,” he said.
“We’re looking an attacking threat and have been good defensively too so that’s something we want to keep going throughout the league campaign.
“The team looked a lot more dangerous against Stockport but the main thing is getting the fitness.
