FRAUD CASE

A MAN has been sentenced to 300 hours unpaid work after being found guilty of defrauding a care home.

Bernard Lesley Evans, 61, tried to withdraw £2,174 from the account of his former employer, Rowans Care Centre in Macclesfield.

He was found guilty after a trial at Macclesfield magistrates’ court.

Evans, of Glossop Road, Little Hayfield, High Peak, was also given a community order.
