Lisa-Marie Collins: I think the people who actually live in the area (myself and family members included) should have the say over what happens. We are the ones suffering, not the government! False promises as usual! Steven Mayer: I would like to see a residents only parking order on Lowe Street, it’s full of people’s cars that park and go to work and a lot are parked on the footpath. Mark Stockton: I live on Moss Lane and I’d like our road blocked off before my house falls down with the number of HGVs using it as a cut through every day (7.5 ton limit) but don’t think it’s going to happen. As for Coare Street, don’t think it matters because when King’s goes it will be just another overcrowded street in Macclesfield. Toni Kelly: Same goes for Lord Street and St Georges Street – it’s a nightmare!! If the new Lidl gets the go ahead for Park Green it’s only going to get worse! Sharon Pollard: Macclesfield is full of cars, people who work in town fill side streets so they don’t have to pay to park. I had it on High Street, couldn’t get within a mile with a boot of food shopping, it needs a complete overhaul. Paula Johnson: It’s a public highway and not a private road. The residents of Coare Street chose to live there so if they don’t like it, jog on and move somewhere quieter! Tracy Wood: I live on High Street and cannot park outside my flat, have to park way down the road. Robert Marshall: They consulted us (I’m a resident of the area) about putting the block in place and appear to have changed their mind without any consultation?! Lucy Mayo: Where are people supposed to park though? Everyone keeps getting slapped with parking fines! Ruth Brown: On our road we can’t park outside our houses as we would get booked! We applied for residents parking but it was thrown out as nobody was interested. When the town gets developed and car park space diminishes the situation will be ridiculous.
