●● JAZZ is back at Bolling­ton Arts Cen­tre with an event on Satur­day, Septem­ber 5.

This will fea­ture an ap­pear­ance by Jeff Barn­hart’s New “Fats” Waller Show.

Bernard Selby, from the event, said: “Jeff hails from Con­necti­cut and is the most amaz­ing pi­ano vir­tu­oso whose in­ter­pre­ta­tion of the song­book of the leg­endary Thomas ‘Fats’ Waller has en­thralled au­di­ences on both sides of the At­lantic.

“As big a per­son­al­ity as ‘Fats’ him­self and a born racon­teur Jeff is a true en­ter­tainer, which means a great night for those lucky enough to get a ticket.”

The start time is 8pm.

The play­ers at Bolling­ton Cricket Club in­vite visi­tors to the event at the Recre­ation Ground on Sun­day, Au­gust 30, 1pm. It will be a chance to watch teams se­lected by the Pres­i­dent and Chair­man, a bar, bar­be­cue, cream teas, cakes, tombola, raf­fle and auc­tion.

The match will fea­ture spe­cial guests and Bolling­ton Cricket Club play­ers past and present, as well as a welcome back to Manch­ester City Leg­end Shaun Goater.

It will again raise money for the club’s nom­i­nated char­ity, the Cys­tic Fi­bro­sis Trust. ●● A TAL­ENT show will take place at the Cock and Pheas­ant, Bolling­ton Road on Mon­day, Au­gust 31, from mid­day.
