Big turn out for Pres­i­dent

THERE was a mag­nif­i­cent en­try of 84 play­ers in the Styal Pres­i­dent’s Put­ter com­pe­ti­tion which de­lighted Pres­i­dent Mike Rhodes.

Top of the shop with 43 points was Mike Moore ahead of Peter Christie 42 and Brian Dono­hue and Peter Harris, both 41.

The only Two came from cap­tain Ivan Bloor on the long 15th and near­est the pin and line prizes went to Steve Walker, Dave Hol­lick and Ged Har­ri­son.

Rhodes said: “I re­quested that all of the day’s com­pe­ti­tion fees be do­nated to the Cap­tain’s Char­ity that is in aid of Stock­port Pal­lia­tive Care in as­so­ci­a­tion with MacMil­lan Can­cer Sup­port and I was de­lighted to hand over £132 to Ivan.”

In a Se­niors Sta­ble­ford at Styal M Stephen­son led in with 39 points, two more than Clive Se­nior and David Black­burn.

Wed­nes­day Sta­ble­ford ac­tion saw their Cheshire ju­nior star Ryan Nevins in top spot with 39 points from Ian Thomason 37 and Ryan Owen 36.

The latest round of Styal Ladies Sum­mer Cup had Ju­dith Lacy in first place af­ter a cpo on 16 points with Chris Pog­son.
