MACCLESFIELD BriSCA F2 Racing driver 101 Kelvyn Marshall became the BriSCA F2 World Champion on Saturday at Staffordshire’s Hednesford Raceway.
Marshall took part in ten qualifying rounds at tracks all over the country.
Points scored at those meetings placed him into one of two semi finals which were held at Skegness in Lincolnshire.
Marshall won his Semi Final and this put him on the front row of the World Championship with 29 other competitors from the UK and the Netherlands, as well as Germany.
He got a good start in the title race and gained the lead, which he held for 25 laps of the fast Hednesford track.
It capped a fine season for the Macc racer – two months ago he also won the European Championship at Northampton.
By winning the World Championship, Marshall has elected to take the number one as his race number which he will hold until next season’s World Championship.
He will be racing at his home track Buxton Raceway on Sunday 27th September.
