Keeper Jalal’s deal un­til new year

MAC­CLES­FIELD Town goal­keeper Sh­wan Jalal has signed a new con­tract with the club that will see him re­main with the Silk­men un­til the New Year.

Jalal, pic­tured, was a free agent when he ini­tially joined on a one month deal, but af­ter a string of im­pres­sive per­for­mances, has now com­mit­ted his fu­ture to Macc for the re­main­der of 2015.

The 32-year-old picked up the man of the match award dur­ing his home de­but against South­port, and has fea­tured in all but two of the games so far this sea­son.

Jalal has played for a num­ber of clubs dur­ing his ca­reer, with his most prom­i­nent spell com­ing when he spent six years with Bournemouth, mak­ing nearly 150 ap­pear­ances.

The Iraq in­ter­na­tional was with Premier League side Tot­ten­ham Hot­spur as a teenager, and has also played for Bury, Peterborough United and Northamp­ton Town dur­ing his ca­reer.
