Adara­bioyo and Meikle join squad

MAC­CLES­FIELD Town have bol­stered their squad af­ter sign­ing at­tack­ing pair Lin­don Meikle and Fisayo Adara­bioyo.

Both men have signed on non-con­tract terms, with Meikle ar­riv­ing af­ter his re­lease by League Two club York City and Adara­bioyo join­ing af­ter leav­ing Premier League side Crys­tal Palace.

Meikle has ex­pe­ri­ence play­ing in this di­vi­sion, hav­ing won the Na­tional League ti­tle with for­mer club Mans­field Town in 2013.

He went on to make over 100 ap­pear­ances for the Stags dur­ing a three year spell at the club, be­fore then turn­ing down a new deal to join York.

The 27-year-old spent a year with York, but af­ter be­ing trans­fer listed by man­ager Russ Wil­cox, he left by mu­tual con­sent in Au­gust.

Meikle be­gan his ca­reer at East­wood Town, and has also re­ceived three caps for the Eng­land C team.

Adara­bioyo has played for sev­eral clubs dur­ing his short ca­reer, most re­cently fea­tur­ing for Crys­tal Palace’s U21 side last sea­son.

The 20-year-old spent time at Birm­ing­ham City from 2011 to 2013, with his per­for­mances re­sult­ing in him earn­ing a trial with Manch­ester United.

United de­cided against of­fer­ing him a con­tract, but he in­stead joined Manch­ester City to con­tinue his de­vel­op­ment at the age of 18.

Fisayo’s brother Tosin Adara­bioyo still plays for Man City’s academy and is highly rated amongst the youth set up at the club.

Both Adara­bioyo and Meikle made their de­buts for Mac­cles­field dur­ing Satur­day’s em­phatic 3-0 vic­tory against Alder­shot af­ter they came off the bench dur­ing the sec­ond half of the game.
