RECENT cases heard at South and East Cheshire magistrate­s court: Arundel Close, Macclesfie­ld, pleaded not guilty to assault. He was bailed to appear at Macclesfie­ld magistrate­s’ court on January 14 for a trial. ●● WALTER Peterson Abbey, 41, of Lansdowne Street, Macclesfie­ld, admitted failing to comply with a court order for a curfew. The curfew was extended to December 28. ●● JONATHON Paul Kelly, 51, of Brocklehur­st Mews, Macclesfie­ld, denied theft. He was bailed to appear at Macclesfie­ld magistrate­s’ court on December 17 for a trial. ●● STEVEN William Littler, 49, of Birchinall Close, Macclesfie­ld, was found guilty of assault by beating after a trial. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £100 compensati­on and £830 costs. ●● KEVIN Alan Rutter, 25, of Covelll Road, Poynton, admitted drink driving. He was fined £240 and banned from driving for 12 months. ●● JANE Elizabeth Hammond, 46, of Stafford Walk, Macclesfie­ld, admitted drink driving. She was fined £190 and banned from driving for 20 months. ●● COLIN Knowles, 40, of Athey Street, Macclesfie­ld, denied unlawfully and maliciousl­y inflicting grievous bodily harm, theft of debit card and fraud. He is due to stand trial at Chester Crown Court on April 9. ●● JORDAN Graham Thorley, 21, of Lincoln Place, Macclesfie­ld, denied permitting a man to use a motor vehicle without insurance. He was bailed to appear at court on December 17 for the trial. ●● TOM Grundy, 19, of Chilham Place, Macclesfie­ld, admitted drink driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without insurance or a licence. He was given a community order with curfew for three months. He was also banned from driving for 18 months. ●● JAMES Anthony Daltri, 28, of Becks Lane, Macclesfie­ld, denied assault. He was bailed to appear at court on January 5 for the trial. ●● MARK Anthony Earles, 51, of Range Court, Macclesfie­ld, denied criminal damage. He was bailed to appear at court on December 21 for the trial. ●● SCOTT Joseph Cole, 23, of Eldon Road, Macclesfie­ld, denied criminal damage. He was bailed with conditions to appear at court on January 21 for a trial. ●● CHRISTOPHE­R Craig Haslam, 33, of Gawsworth Road, Macclesfie­ld, admitted assault, willful obstructio­n of an officer and breaching his terms of parole. He was committed to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensati­on. ●● GARY Paul Brian Hulse, 34, of Derrington Avenue, Crewe, admitted two charges of breaching a restrainin­g order in Macclesfie­ld. He was jailed for four weeks and given a restrainin­g order banning him from Warwick Close in Macclesfie­ld until further notice. ●● JOHN Alexander McColm, 51, of Hurdsfield Road, Macclesfie­ld, admitted resisting arrest. He was fined £60. McColm also admitted possession of a knife in a public place at the same court. He was fined £240. ●● KYLE James Yates, 18, of Ash Road, Denton, admitted theft of DVDs from Sainsbury’s in Macclesfie­ld. He was fined £40. ●● CHRISTOPHE­R Paul Gratrix, 31, of Pitt Street, Macclesfie­ld, admitted assault. He was given a community order and curfew for 16 weeks. He must also pay £50 compensati­on. ●● NICHOLAS Paul Evans, 48, of Drummond Way, Macclesfie­ld, was found guilty of assault after a trial. He was given a community order with 120 hours unpaid work. He was also given a two-year restrainin­g order banning him from contacting his victim or entering Bramble Close, Macclesfie­ld.
