In­gre­di­ents firm adds three new em­ploy­ees to its suc­cess­ful mix

A FOOD in­gre­di­ents dis­trib­u­tor has wel­comed three new re­cruits as part of an ex­pan­sion af­ter a suc­cess­ful year.

Di­rect Food In­gre­di­ents, based at Wa­ters Green in Mac­cles­field, has taken on soft­ware de­vel­oper Andy Watt, 48, who has 15 years with a ma­jor gro­cery re­tailer and will help en­hance in­vest­ment in the com­pany’s IT struc­tures.

Fol­low­ing hot on the heels of the open­ing of Di­rect Food In­gre­di­ents’ first over­seas of­fice in Los An­ge­les, Jane Gil­man, 47, also joins the com­pany’s team af­ter a three-year role at Rease­heath Col­lege work­ing in the food tech­nol­ogy depart­ment.

Fi­nally, So­phie Tris­tram, 25, joins the team as a cus­tomer ser­vice ad­min­is­tra­tor, af­ter work­ing in the health and beauty industry for five years.

Di­rect Food In­gre­di­ents em­ploys 16 staff and im­ports and dis­trib­utes foods, nu­tri­tional and sports in­gre­di­ents and vi­ta­min and min­eral pre­mixes.

Man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Steve Loake said: “Di­rect Food In­gre­di­ents has had a record-break­ing year of trad­ing so far and this re­cent ex­pan­sion in team mem­bers will fa­cil­i­tate the busi­ness in con­tin­u­ing to achieve our out­stand­ing and am­bi­tious turnovers.”
