IT was great to see so many people at Victoria Road last Saturday.

Macclesfield Cricket Club, once again, invited us to host its annual bonfire and fireworks display.

We must say a big thanks to ‘Blackers’, Mark Blackman, who gave up his Saturday night to entertain everyone with his famous ‘Blackers banter’. You will be seeing more of Mark and our other presenters as we help get in the festive spirit at the Christmas lights switch-ons.

Look out for us at Bollington, Prestbury, Poynton, and Disley. At some of the events our charitable arm, Canalside’s Phase One training, will be running a bottle-bola to help raise funds to enable people to attend our radio skills training courses. If you are able to donate a bottle to us please drop it in to our studios at Clarence Mill in Bollington.

November also sees our 12 days of Christmas competitions start. From the 23rd we start the big give-away with the opportunity for you to win festive goodies and vouchers to spend at our restaurants of the week. From Wednesday, December 9, Denis Slattery and Incom Telecommunications will be giving you the chance to win some great prizes once again. Be sure to tune in to 102.8FM or check our website.
