Win­ners take cen­tre stage at glitzy awards cer­e­mony


WIN­NERS of this year’s North East Cheshire Busi­ness Awards were pre­sented with their hon­ours at a glitzy cer­e­mony.

The busi­ness com­mu­nity in Mac­cles­field and around en­joyed Thurs­day night’s event at The Mere in Knutsford, where awards were pre­sented in 10 cat­e­gories.

There was ex­cited ap­plause from around 400 guests as win­ners were in­vited to take to the stage by Terry Gold­ing, cre­ative di­rec­tor at Silk 106.9FM.

SAS Daniels LLP won Busi­ness of the Year turnover £5M+ spon­sored by NatWest, Top­speed Couri­ers won Busi­ness of the Year turnover £1M-£5M spon­sored by Or­bit Devel­op­ments and Big Brand Ideas won Small Busi­ness of the Year spon­sored by Mac­cles­field Cham­ber of Commerce.

Best Com­pany to Work For spon­sored by Chess went to Ven­turi, Best Use of So­cial Me­dia spon­sored by Mac­cles­field Ex­press went to One Minute Briefs, and Team of the Year spon­sored by Harts went to Bolling­ton Brew­ing Co.

For­est Gin won In­no­va­tion and De­sign spon­sored by RA Smart, and Equi­lib­rium As­set Man­age­ment won Ex­cel­lence in Cus­tomer Ser­vice spon­sored by Thor­ney crofts.

The Av­enue won Best De­sign/Cre­ative spon­sored by Wil­liams & Crosby and Speedy Dox won Start Up Busi­ness of the Year spon­sored by Plas­tic Card Ser­vices.

The guest speaker was James Timp­son OBE and Nathan Turner pro­vided en­ter­tain­ment.

Sue Bow­den, man­ager at Mac­cles­field Cham­ber of Commerce who or­gan- ised the awards, said: “Con­grat­u­la­tions to all our win­ners and thanks to ev­ery­one who came along to the fab­u­lous event.

“Al­most £4,000 was raised from the auc­tion and prize draw for our cho­sen char­ity, The Rossendale Trust, so huge thanks to ev­ery­one who do­nated prizes and gave so gen­er­ously on the night.

“And thanks to our spon­sors and part­ners whose sup­port en­ables the awards to take place, to ev­ery­one who en­tered the awards and to those who sup­ported the event by com­ing along and making it such a suc­cess.
