Winners take centre stage at glitzy awards ceremony
WINNERS of this year’s North East Cheshire Business Awards were presented with their honours at a glitzy ceremony.
The business community in Macclesfield and around enjoyed Thursday night’s event at The Mere in Knutsford, where awards were presented in 10 categories.
There was excited applause from around 400 guests as winners were invited to take to the stage by Terry Golding, creative director at Silk 106.9FM.
SAS Daniels LLP won Business of the Year turnover £5M+ sponsored by NatWest, Topspeed Couriers won Business of the Year turnover £1M-£5M sponsored by Orbit Developments and Big Brand Ideas won Small Business of the Year sponsored by Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce.
Best Company to Work For sponsored by Chess went to Venturi, Best Use of Social Media sponsored by Macclesfield Express went to One Minute Briefs, and Team of the Year sponsored by Harts went to Bollington Brewing Co.
Forest Gin won Innovation and Design sponsored by RA Smart, and Equilibrium Asset Management won Excellence in Customer Service sponsored by Thorney crofts.
The Avenue won Best Design/Creative sponsored by Williams & Crosby and Speedy Dox won Start Up Business of the Year sponsored by Plastic Card Services.
The guest speaker was James Timpson OBE and Nathan Turner provided entertainment.
Sue Bowden, manager at Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce who organ- ised the awards, said: “Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to everyone who came along to the fabulous event.
“Almost £4,000 was raised from the auction and prize draw for our chosen charity, The Rossendale Trust, so huge thanks to everyone who donated prizes and gave so generously on the night.
“And thanks to our sponsors and partners whose support enables the awards to take place, to everyone who entered the awards and to those who supported the event by coming along and making it such a success.
