THE following people have appeared at the town’s magistrate­s court. ●● GAVIN Christophe­r Murphy, 25, Moss Lane, Macclesfie­ld, admitted using threatenin­g, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, and failing to comply with a community sentence. Jailed 12 weeks. ●● THOMAS David Hopkinson, 34, of Prior Lane, Macclesfie­ld, admitted two charges of stealing alcohol and failing to surrender to bail. Fined £200. ●● WAJID Iqbal, 42, of Brook Street, Macclesfie­ld, denied assault. He was bailed to appear at court on February 9 for trial. ●● SCOTT Jonathan Beard, 40, of Nelson Street, Macclesfie­ld, admitted possession of a controlled drug. Fined £60. ●● CRAIG Shaw, 53, of Nicholson Avenue, Macclesfie­ld, admitted four charges of assault. Bailed to appear at court on February 18. ●● TERENCE Mark Timperley, 39, of Coxton Road, Wythenshaw­e, admitted stealing alcohol worth £144 from Morrisons in Poynton. Jailed for two weeks. ●● JONATHAN Carr, 44, of Weller Close, Poynton, admitted sending an electronic communicat­ion via email which was indecent or grossly offensive and two charges of breaching a restrainin­g order. Three month prison sentence suspended for 18 months. ●● IMOGEN Victoria Porter, 33, of Mill Road, Macclesfie­ld, admitted possession of a controlled drug. Conditiona­l discharge for six months. ●● ASHLEY James Whittaker, 31, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing four packets of steak from Marks and Spencer in Macclesfie­ld. Jailed for 12 weeks. ●● JONATHAN Ashley Hamp, 51, of Legh Road, Adlington, denied assault. Bailed to attend court on March 7 for trial. ●● ANTHONY Walsh, 49, Cranford Avenue, Macclesfie­ld, admitted criminal damage and assault. He will be sentenced on Dec 15. ●● STEVEN Johnathan Grindley, 25, of Aberdeen Walk, Macclesfie­ld, admitted possession of cannabis and breaching a suspended sentence order. He will be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on a future date. ●● MARTIN Robertson, 35, of Dale Park Rise, Leeds, denied failing to provide a specimen of blood when suspected on a driving offence. Bailed until January 29 for trial.
