Success earns Jim second Hall term
JIM Brown has enjoyed a great year as Captain of Shrigley Hall GC which has seen the course in great condition and received fine feedback.
The club has grown in membership – especially attracting more youngsters, families and ladies to the facility.

Jim is now set for a second term of office which will see the improvements continue apace and he is looking forward to the challenges ahead.
A Thursday Stableford at Shrigley was won by Howard Rowley with a healthy haul of 40 points seeing him home from Al Lloyd 38 and Janet Gates 37.
A Winter Pairs qualifier at Shrigley had G and A Nimmo setting the pace with 42 points hotly pursued by H Rowley and P Duffy 41 and N Rainford and C Green 40.
Prestbury’s men played a Five Club Stableford and Kenneth Williamson was a fine winner with 39 points fromGeorge Senior and Conrad O’Neill, both 36.
Prestbury ladies also enjoyed a Five Club Chicken Run and in division one Deborah Baker was first past the post with 33 points, one more than Josephine Harrison, Lynne Dicken and Jane Campaigne.
Helen Bolam had a great return of 40 points in division two seeing her home by three points from DJ Harrison.
Macclesfield ladies were in Roll Up action and Joyce Riley cruised to victory with 20 points ahead of June Sumner 17 and Mag- gie Bardsley and Nancy Barkworth, both 16.
A Sunday Stableford at Styal was won by Derek Lamb posting 34 points to finish ahead of Nick Corless 32 and Ged Stevens 31.
Styal seniors played their fourth Winter Stableford and Harry Reid kept up his hot run of form winning a cpo on 38 points from Michael Collier and Dermot Clancy.
Styal’s ladies latest Sunday League had Helen Billington winning with 32 points.
