RE­CENT cases heard at South and East Cheshire mag­is­trates court: ●● JOHN James Maun­der, 66, of Vau­drey Cres­cent, Con­gle­ton, de­nied as­sault in Mac­cles­field. He was bailed to at­tend court on March 22 for the trial. ●● RYAN Gilse­nan, 22, of With­nell Road, Black­pool, ad­mit­ted be­ing drunk and dis­or­derly at Hollin Hall, Mac­cles­field, and re­sist­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer and as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer. He was given a com­mu­nity or­der with 80 hours un­paid work. ●● AN­THONY Walsh, 50, of Cran­ford Av­enue, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted as­sault and crim­i­nal dam­age. He was fined £115 and or­dered to pay £75 com­pen­sa­tion. ●● BA­YAR Ahmed, 25, of Lam­port Court, Manch­ester, ad­mit­ted driv­ing with­out due care and at­ten­tion, and fail­ing to re­port an ac­ci­dent on Vin­cent Street, Mac­cles­field. He was fined £75 and had his li­cence en­dorsed with five points. ●● KRISTOPHER Jean Pierre Groot, 34, of Weller Close, Poyn­ton, ad­mit­ted as­sault. He was fined £35 and or­dered to pay £50 com­pen­sa­tion. ●● LIAM An­drew Amery, 24, of Daven Road, Con­gle­ton, ad­mit­ted driv­ing with­out due care and at­ten­tion, driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance or a li­cence, and fail­ing to sup­ply a spec­i­men when sus­pected of drink driv­ing. He was given a com­mu­nity or­der with 120 hours un­paid work and banned from driv­ing for 18 months. ●● PAUL James McGet­rick, 43, of Hat­ton Street, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted two charges of as­sault, crim­i­nal dam­age of a mo­bile phone and as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer. He was given a com­mu­nity or­der with 140 hours un­paid work. ●● RICHARD John Mills, 47, of High Street, Bolling­ton, ad­mit­ted drink driv­ing. He was given a com­mu­nity or­der with cur­few for 12 weeks ban­ning him from leav­ing his house be­tween 7pm and 7am. He was also fined £160 and dis­qual­i­fied for 28 months. ●● JOR­DAN Gra­ham Thor­ley, 22, of Lin­coln Place, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted per­mit­ting Tom Grundy to use a mo­tor ve­hi­cle when there was no in­sur­ance in place. He was fined £150. ●● NAEEM Am­jad, 48, of Pere­grine Road, Stock­port, was found guilty of as­sault in Mac­cles­field. He was fined £180 and or­dered to pay £100 com­pen­sa­tion. ●● BENE­DICTO Hon­rado Perez, 39, of Cather­ine Street, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted as­sault. He was bailed to at­tend court for sen­tenc­ing to­day (Jan­uary 13). ●● SEAN David An­drew Roberts, 39, of Nelson Street, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted de­stroy­ing a hands free tele­phone be­long­ing to Cheshire Po­lice. He also ad­mit­ted re­sist­ing a PC. He was given a con­di­tional dis­charge for 12 months and or­dered to pay £66 com­pen­sa­tion. ●● VIN­CENT James Fletcher, 32, of Bri­ar­wood Av­enue, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted us­ing threat­en­ing, abu­sive or in­sult­ing words of be­hav­iour, theft of a ruck­sack be­long­ing to a po­lice of­fi­cer, theft of food and as­sault of a po­lice of­fi­cer. He was given a three month prison sen­tence sus­pended for 12 months. He must also at­tend drug re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion and pay £100 com­pen­sa­tion.
