Valuable Civil War guns stolen during farm raid

ANTIQUE guns worth hundreds of pounds have been stolen during a burglary.

The four weapons, which date back to the American Civil War, were taken from a farm on Middlewood Road in Poynton.

One of them is a percussion rifle which is about three foot long.

The raid, which happened some time between 7.30pm, December 18, and 12.30am on December 19, also involved the theft of jewellery.
