●● BURGLARS targeted a house while its owners were away for Christmas.

At 5.55pm on January 3, police received reports of a burglary at a house on South West Avenue in Bollington.

The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between Boxing Day and January 3. The occupants were not at home at the time. Offenders kicked the rear door through before taking keys and stealing a Black Ford Focus which was parked on the driveway.

Anyone with informatio­n should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 564 of January 3. ●● POLICE are holding a town surgery on Thursday, January 14.

Residents can take the opportunit­y to speak to a local officer at the event which runs from 10am to midday at the Town Hall, 36 Wellington Road, Bollington. ●● BOLLINGTON and District Horticultu­ral Society meets on Thursday, January 21.
