On the ground floor there will be an exhibition of 28 paintings and sketches by the late Jules Weinberg, a young Jewish evacuee from London. Many of these paintings were on display in a personal exhibition of his work in 1946 at West Park Museum and have not been on public display for many years. Also on display, on the ground floor, are samples from the Jules Pattern Book, some rare items relating to the Jewish firm of Oberland Silks that are on loan from Macclesfie­ld Silk Museum, early original technical documents from Friedlands and some personal memorabili­a of the Tannenbaum experience from Austria to Macclesfie­ld. On the first floor, which, from 1941-46, housed the Macclesfie­ld Synagogue and on the top floor will be panels illustrati­ng communal activities of Macclesfie­ld’s 200 Jews.
