RECENT cases from South and East Cheshire magistrates court: ●● EMMA May Belcher, 38, of Nicholson Avenue, Macclesfield, was found not guilty of two charges of assault by beating after a trial. ●● MICHAEL Valentine Gorman, 45, of Brocklehurst Avenue, Macclesfield, denied assault by beating. He was bailed to court on May 24 for the trial.

●● KARWAN Omar Hewaz, 29, of Castleford Walk, Manchester, denied sexual assault by touching in Macclesfield. He was bailed to attend court for the trial on August 4. ●● CRAIG Roy John Heywood, 41, of Buxton Road, Congleton, admitted stealing a bike in Macclesfield and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to four weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. ●● WENDY Anne Marchant, 53, of Arundel Close, Macclesfield, appeared at court charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. She was bailed to Chester Crown Court on April 5 for a plea hearing. ●● THOMAS George Acton, 18, of Grimshaw Lane, Bollington, admitted possession of cannabis and drug driving. He was fined £160 and banned from driving for 12 months. ●● CRAIG Ian Welch, 32, of Michlehurst Green, Offerton, Stockport admitted drug driving in Poynton. He was fined £160 and banned from driving for 12 months. ●● JAMES Scott Bowers, 24, of Nicholson Avenue, Macclesfield admitted criminal damage and breaching a conditional discharge. He was given a community order with curfew and was ordered to pay £710 compensation for the damaged car wing mirror.
