Staff will pedal to ‘Poland’

-

EMPLOYEES at a Macclesfield company will cycle all the way to Poland without leaving the comfort of their office.

Staff at Quint Group are taking part in a 2,000-kilometre virtual bike ride in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.

The 60 cyclists will take it in turns to ride on an exercise bike non-stop during normal office hours from Wednesday, April 6 to Friday, April 8.

The financial services technology provider is launching a year of fundraising activities with riders sponsored for their efforts.

Quint Group communications manager Scott Forster said: “We chose Poland to coincide with the launch of new products over there. We’re expanding our business and this is a good way of introducing new staff.

“There are a few keen cyclists involved and our volunteers are all ages, some of whom are novices. They’ll fit the cycling around their work and during breaks and will split into five teams so there’s a competitive element, with a small prize for the employee who covers the most distance. It should be a lot of fun and importantly will raise money for such a good cause.

“We’re one of the fastest growing technology businesses in the UK and proud to be associated with the charity.”

Quint Group is a leading-edge financial services technology provider and one of the UK’s largest independent financial solutions groups. Its technology helps power market-leading consumer finance brands and businesses, as well as its own products and services.

Quint Group (Quintessential Finance Group) operates in four countries and has 80 employees servicing both directly-marketed consumers and thirdparty introductions.

Fundraiser Roxana Pirlea, from East Cheshire Hospice, said: “Quint Group are long-standing supporters of the hospice and we value their kind generosity.

“We wish them well for this unique event which is a great example of how fundraising for East Cheshire Hospice can build staff teamwork and morale.”
