Dan Snow is joined by space archaeologist Dr Sarah Parcak, who uses satellites 383 miles above the earth to spot ruins as small as 30cm, to search for evidence of Viking settlements in North America, trying to prove that they settled in the New World 500 years before Columbus. Dan explores how they travelled west as first raiders, then settlers and traders throughout Britain and beyond to Iceland and Greenland, before excavating what could be the most westerly settlement ever discovered.
