RECENT cases from South and East Cheshire magistrates court: ●● REBECCA Marie Hill-Ward, 30, of Commercial Road, Stockport, was found guilty in her absence of assault by beating in Macclesfield. She was given a community order with rehabilitation requirement, fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 compensation. ●● PAUL Edward Harris, 28, of Bond Street, Stoke, admitted three charges of drug driving in Poynton, speeding, driving without insurance and a licence. He was given a curfew for 12 weeks and disqualified from driving for two years. ●● LIAM James Coffey, 25, of Century Way, Macclesfield, denied sexual assault by touching. He was bailed to attend court on August 11 for the trial. ●● WALTER Peterson Abbey, 41, of no fixed abode, Macclesfield, admitted theft and breaching a suspended sentence. He was jailed for 18 weeks. ●● JOHN Bruce Comer, 19, of Mere Court, Chelford, admitted assault by beating. He was fined £60 and given a restraining order. ●● HAYLEY Ann Elizabeth Griffiths, 20, of Gainsborough Court, Crewe, denied three charges of assault by beating and one charge of criminal damage at Macclesfield Hospital. She was bailed to attend court on August 11 for the trial. ●● SARAH Louise Clarke, 24, of Buxton Road, Congleton, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Macclesfield and failing to attend court. She was fined £120. ●● MARK Peter Holden, 40, of Flying Fields Drive, Macclesfield, has appeared in court charged with dangerous driving and obstructing a police officer. He was bailed to attend Chester Crown Court on April 19. ●● LYDIA Corbin, 20, of Waterside Mill, Knight Street, Macclesfield, admitted criminal damage. She was given a 12 month conditional discharged and ordered to pay £50 compensation. ●● LEWIS Carson Marsh, 19, of London Road, Macclesfield, admitted possession of cannabis on March 1. He was fined £80. ●● THOMAS Stephen Pennington, 19, of Springfield Road, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly, possession of diazepam, theft of electrical items from Sainsbury’s and assaulting a PC. He was given 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 compensation. ●● IAN Paul Schofield, 35, of Lincoln Place, Macclesfield, denied assault by beating. He was bailed to attend court on August 11 for the trial. ●● MARCIN Ospowicz, 35, of Waterside Mill, Knight Street, Macclesfield, admitted failing to attend unpaid work sessions. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 130 hours unpaid work. ●● JAMES Michael Rollinson, 22, of Cherryfields Road, Macclesfield, admitted assault by beating and criminal damage. He was sentenced to four weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and was given a restraining order lasting two years and to pay £200 compensation. ●● JAMIE Henderson, 26, of Linden Court, Macclesfield, admitted drink driving. He was fined £300 and banned for 14 months. ●● LEWIS Carson Marsh, 19, of London Road, Macclesfield, admitted possession of cannabis on March 1. He was fined £80. ●● ASHLEA Thomas, 24, of Chadwick Terrace, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting an PC. She was given a curfew for two months and ordered to pay £150 compensation. ●● JAMIE David Wood, 23, Berwick Close, Macclesfield, denied drug driving. He was bailed to court on August 11 for the trial. ●● ROGER Ainsworth, 51, of Bransdale Way, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a PC. He was given a three month curfew and ordered to pay £500 compensation. ●● JACK Cotterill, 28, of Wilton Crescent, Macclesfield, admitted causing a nuisance or disturbance to an NHS staff member by refusing to leave Macclesfield Hospital. He was fined £400. ●● JOHN James Maunder, 66, of Churchside, Macclesfield, was found guilty of assault by beating after trial. He was bailed to attend court on May 3.
