Boost for workwear firm

-

A FAMILY run workwear and protective clothing specialist has been boosted by a £50,000 finance facility.

L&J Workwear, which customises a range of workwear products, has secured the funding from Manchester-based invoice finance specialists from Positive Cashflow Finance.

Managing director Phil Hewitt has 40 years’ experience in the sector and established L&J in October 2005.

Phil runs the business, based on Elizabeth Street, Macclesfield, with his son Jordan, who has expanded the customer base considerably over the last 12 months. Last August the firm was employed by Team GB to embroider their sponsor’s logo on their new kit.

But chasing customers and waiting for customers to pay was time consuming. With the new funding now helping with credit control and advancing funds, the firm said it can concentrate on increasing client base and growing the business.

Phil said: “With the funding in place and the headache of carrying out credit control removed, we are in an excellent position to continue our growth.”

Nick Chapman, sales and marketing manager said: “L&J are a prime example of a hard working family business with bags of potential.

“With the right funding in place, they are now in an excellent position to continue their growth and increase sales.”

Positive is a specialist independent invoice finance provider with offices in Manchester and Birmingham supporting businesses throughout the UK.
