Firm follows AZ with southern site
ADIGITAL agency has expanded out of Macclesfield and into Cambridge.
Sigma Consulting Solutions Limited, based at the Ropewalks Building on Newton Street, Macclesfield, will expand its operations into Cambridge this month in an effort to further its presence within the life sciences, bioinformatics and health tech sectors.
Its new office is strate- gically placed near its long-standing client, AstraZeneca, which relocated its research and development operations to Cambridge from its site at Nether Alderley.
Sigma has already filled three initial roles.
Francis Rowland will take the position of User Experience (UX) designer, Antony Quinn will work on service development in the health market, while Jennifer Fuller has been appointed as a business development consultant.
Hilary Stephenson, managing director at Sigma, said: “There is a strong UX community in Cambridge that we have wanted to become a part of for some time now.
“And with our recent business growth we’re now able to open an office in the region in order to service our largest client AstraZeneca better, as well as explore other opportunities.
“Healthcare and patient-centred design is a sector that we are keen to broaden our clientbase in.
“There’s a real buzz around Cambridge’s health tech sector, so we’re excited to see where our new venture will take us with the help of our brilliant new recruits.”
Hilary says that Sigma is on a strong growth trajectory, having won a number of new clients in the past six months, including Rentalcars. com, GB Group, and Royal London.
As a result of this growth, the business is also recruiting for a number of roles in its head office in Macclesfield, where it already employs 40 people.
Hilary added: “A host of new client wins have also meant that we’re now growing our team further in the North West, in order to support the flow of new work.
“2015 was a brilliant year for Sigma and we can’t wait to see how the business will progress in the next 12 months.”
