Right royal celebration for nursery school

-

YOUNGSTERS at Bright Horizons Tytherington Day Nursery and Preschool, recently renamed from Kids Unlimited, joined the Queen in her birthday celebrations by hosting a royal tea party.

The children had a great time playing a variety of fun games, making their own bunting to mark the occasion and baking a selection of tasty biscuits.

And to finish off the day they tucked into a delicious picnic fit for a queen in the large nursery garden.

This was followed by a special ice cream cone treat.

During the day nursery practitioners presented the children with a selection of photos of the Queen from throughout her reign and some of them commented on her grey hair.

Three-year-old Amelia, said: “When I grow up I am going to colour my hair purple.”

Nursery manager, Lorraine Roberts, said: “The children all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday and learning things about the Royal Family.

“I think that it is important for children to learn about current affairs and about the world around them.”
