AN estate agent on a fundraising mission to support charities in the Macclesfield community has donated £2,000 to a youth support group.

Gascoigne Halman, which has offices in Macclesfield, Poynton and Prestbury, has donated £2,000 to Just Drop In, a support group that provides guidance and counselling to young people in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

Just Drop In, which first opened in 2001, operates as a free, friendly, walk-in support service for 12 to 25 year olds, with no referral or appointment necessary.

The charity is using the money to provide half a day support sessions, once a week to children at Tytherington High School, which will support children experiencing a range of difficulties.

Ann Wright, manager of Just Drop In, said: “We are delighted to receive this generous donation from Gascoigne Halman.

“This funding will have a direct impact on the emotional health of the individuals accessing the service, which in turn will improve pupil wellbeing.”

Gascoigne Halman celebrated its 25th anniversary by setting up a £25,000 fund to support local causes.
