Delight in letter from the Queen

-

A CHARITY which supports adults with learning disabilities was thrilled to receive a letter from the Queen.

It’s all thanks to Jane Naden, who is a ‘dropper inner’ at Parachute Drop In centre, run by Speaking Up Speaking Out Charity.

Jane, who is a fan of the Queen, organised a party for the dropper-inners to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 90th year.

Jane then organised for all the members to sign a birthday card for the queen.

Amy Tod, from Just Drop In, said: “Jane has always been very fond of Queen Elizabeth II and thought her 90 th birthday in April was a big cause for celebration.

“To pass on her best wishes to her Majesty, Jane bought a beautiful card that all the dropper inners signed.

“Jane then posted it on behalf of all the dropperinners to Buckingham Palace. What Jane was not expecting was to receive a card.

“However, a letter marked with Buckingham Palace’s stamp dropped through the letter box at Parachute.

“Both staff and dropper inners were desperate to open the letter but waited for Jane as they knew how much it meant to her.

“There was a huge amount of excitement about the letter and Jane, especially, was thrilled with the reply.”

Included in the envelope was a card from the Queen with a photo and message, and a letter signed by the Queen’s Lady-in-Waiting. Parachute drop in are now organising for the correspondence to be framed so Jane has a lovely keep sake for her efforts and devotion to the Queen.
