New Blood BBC1, 9pm
Anthony Horowitz’s writing career has been one of success, so when it was revealed that he was penning a new drama for the BBC, critics and fans alike couldn’t wait to see the results. New Blood tells the story of detective Rash Sayyad and Stefan Kowolski, a junior case worker at the Serious Fraud Office. They are thrown together by the discovery of the corpse of Mark Henson, one of a group of medical guinea pigs, and an investigation into David Leese, the chief pharmacist for six hospitals who is suspected of accepting bribes from a huge chemical company.
