Moss Rose experience key to Silkmen success

- SHELDAN KEAY

MACCLESFIELD Town general manager Rob Heys has exciting plans for the future after enjoying his first month with the club.

Heys took over the day-to-day running of the Silkmen at the start of May, and hopes he can continue to develop the club during his tenure.

“We want to make the Moss Rose a place at the heart of our community, where everyone enjoys visiting,” he told the club’s official website.

“We need to ensure we provide a fantastic experience for anybody who comes through our doors, whether that is for a match on a Saturday afternoon, to buy something from our shop during the week, or attending a function in the evening.

“We have a great club, we should be proud of what we have.

“It has been hectic these last few weeks, meeting lots of people and getting a feel for both the club and town, but it has also been great fun.

“I have been made to feel really welcome by everybody here, it is such a friendly environment, and there is a genuine team ethic around the place.

“That can mean so much when the football starts in August, and it is something money can’t buy.”
