Macc set to host One-Day event

THE next of this season’s One-Day junior tennis tournaments, Sponsored by New Balance, is taking place at Macclesfield Tennis Club, with a 1pm start on Saturday 11 June.

A Round Robin Singles event is open to any player, with entries invited from boys or girls aged 13 years and under.

To enter in advance you can book your place with the event manager Danny Connolly, who is available on 07802 699141.

Entries cost £8 and are accepted on a first come first served basis and there will be a limited number of places.

Players can also simply turn up on the day, and space permitting, will happily be included.

The event manager will decide at what point the event entry list is full.

All participants get a certificate, and there are trophies for winners and runners up.

Also on the day – there is a free prize draw for all participating players with a pair of New Balance trainers to the player with the winning ticket.

The draw will be made on conclusion of play at the presentation ceremony.
