ONCE again our stu­dios are full of young­sters who are with us for their school work ex­pe­ri­ence.

This week it’s the turn of one of our spon­sors, The King’s School in Mac­cles­field, and we will have the stu­dents learn­ing all about what hap­pens both on and off air at a ra­dio sta­tion. The fol­low­ing week it’s the turn of Tyther­ing­ton School and this year’s school year con­cludes with four stu­dents from Bux­ton Com­mu­nity School week com­menc­ing Mon­day, July 11.

It is also a busy time for our out­side events team. Satur­day, July 2, will see us at the Puss Bank School sum­mer fair, the Bolling­ton Cross School sum­mer fair, the Sow­car Brook duck race, and the open­ing of Bolling­ton Well Dress­ing week.

On Sun­day, July 3, we will be at the Gawsworth Queen’s Birth­day Fayre and the Chrome Mo­tors Soc­cer Sixes, which this year are be­ing held at the King’s School Derby Fields.

The next Silk­lands revival night will take place at Mac­cles­field Town Football Club on Satur­day, July 2, and is in aid of Sharon Stoke’s me­mo­rial gar­den at Wood­lands Care Home and MTFC. Tick­ets are of­fi­cially sold out but we have four tick­ets to give away in a com­pe­ti­tion we are run­ning.
