ANOTHER outstanding year of A level results has been celebrated at the Fallibroome Academy.

Provisional indications are 62.5percent of grades achieved were A* - B and 83pc grades A* - C.

A remarkable 29pc of all the entries were the top A*/A grades and 23 students achieved at least three straight A grades or above.

Jack Eales, Alex Holmes, Kai Amin Wetzel, Josie Campbell and Sam Thomas achieved A* grades in all their subjects. Ed De Sousa also achieved A* and A grades in a total of five subjects. With many students moving on to university, the school was delighted to celebrate a record number of first choice places, including James Chasty, Josie Campbell and Jack Eales, who all gained places at Oxford University.

Executive principal Peter Rubery said: “These terrific results have continued a remarkable period for Fallibroome students and staff who have produced another year of achievement.

“The investment we made in creating a stunning post 16 centre and the establishment of the Multi Academy Trust has clearly created the conditions for all our students to succeed and we are delighted that all their hard work has paid off.

“In addition to their academic achievements this cohort made a significant contribution to the cultural life of the school and were influential role models for younger students.

“We wish them every success as they pursue their dreams.”

The director of Sixth Form, Mark Payne, added: “This was a great year group full of character and students dedicated to hard work, and I am delighted that they are able to celebrate such well deserved results, particularly as the pressures seem to build year on year.

“They have achieved some outstanding university placements. We achieved our highest number of Oxbridge offers this year and students have also gained places to study the competitive subjects of Medicine, Dentistry, Law and Veterinary Science.

“Students are also leaving us to study everything from engineering to international business and performing arts and music. I am also so pleased to see several students achieve places on prestigious sponsored degree and higher apprenticeship schemes.

“This particularly year group gave a great deal to Fallibroome and I wish them every success in the future.”
