Mum bags trio of awards

-

A MUM who makes parent-friendly handbags has won three awards for her work.

Keri Jamieson, from Pott Shrigley, set up her Kerikit company last year after a 15-year career designing handbags for major high street brands.

The mum-of-three aims to sell bags which provide mothers and busy women with functional, high-quality and fashionable bags designed to make life easier.

She is now celebrating after winning three accolades for her products. This includes a Platinum award for ‘best changing bag’ from the Junior Design Awards, as well as the ‘best gift for a new mum’ and ‘best changing bag over £150’ in the Loved by Parents awards.

This follows her being named Small Business of the Week by Nick Brown, a business expert with a prime slot, on the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 earlier this year.

Keri said: “Starting a business on top of being a mum-of-three has been a real challenge, with ups and downs along the way, but winning these awards and knowing that all the hard work is paying off has made it all so worth it and I am absolutely thrilled.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported me to date, and we hope everyone is as excited about our autumn/winter range as we are.

“I’m starting to see all my hard work pay off and can’t wait to provide more women and new mums with stylish and practical products.”
