Chef’s in-room dining is hit with residents

-

A CHEF is hoping his ‘stress-free’ catering service is the perfect recipe for residents looking for something special in the comfort of their own homes.

Anthony Dalton, who learned his trade in restaurants such as the Leigh Arms in Prestbury and the Lime Tree in Bollington, has launched his own self-catering business - Culinary Craft - which includes cooking meals for dinner parties.

Anthony, 32, Of Princess Drive, said the ‘Chef in your Kitchen’ service has become a hit with residents planning special occasions, providing restaurant quality food but in the comfort of their own home.

Dad-of-four Anthony said the services – in which he cooks, serves and cleans up afterwards – is also great for families or those who struggle to get out.

He said: “The whole point of it is it’s stress free. It’s no fun inviting people and then having to spend the whole meal nipping in and out of the kitchen, or hearing everyone else have a good time while you have to do all the washing up.

“I come in, I prepare everything in the kitchen, serve the food and then leave it all as I left it, so it’s completely stress free.”

Anthony says the business, which he set up last year, is already going well, and has already catered for a number of dinner parties, including groups staying in holiday cottages in the town. He added that local families will also benefit from the special service.

Anthony, whose partner Kirsty Ainsworth has just given birth to their youngest son Stanley, said: “Getting kids out to a restaurant is really difficult. With this catering you can invite your friends round and not have to worry about your kids acting up in the restaurant or finding a babysitter.”

The former Fallibroome High pupil added: “In-dining is very popular in cities but I think people think it’s much more expensive than it is.

“It’s not something most of us would do every week but it’s nice for special occasions.”

Anthony, who works with business partner Sam Brooks for bigger dinner parties, designs bespoke menus depending on the season and demands of the client and offers a three-course meal for the evening.
