Time running out to get entries in
THINK your staff are best in town? Does your business have that extra something your competitors don’t? Then now is the time to enter the North East Cheshire Business Awards.
There’s just over two weeks to get in your entries for this year’s event, which celebrates business excellence across North East Cheshire.
Tim Hine, relationship director at NatWest in Macclesfield, which is one of the main sponsors of the awards, said: “It’s great to take part from a number of angles because you can get recognition from the business community and it’s a great way of rewarding staff.
“If you are a finalist you are invited to the awards dinner, which is always a great event for the whole team.”
He added: “The process is really simple, the application isn’t lengthy, it’s very straightforward and I would encourage all businesses, no matter what size to enter, whether they are sole traders or big corporations.”
The event celebrates the success, talent and all that’s great about business in the area, with categories that allow companies of all shapes and sizes to enter.
There are a total of 11 awards. As usual there are awards for the best overall businesses with categories for Business of the Year Turnover over £5 million and Business of the Year Turnover up to £5 million, plus an accolade for Entrepreneur of the Year.
There are awards for businesses that go the extra mile for customers, such as Excellence in Customer Service, and those that show extra support for their staff, with Team of the Year and Apprentice of the Year.
There are also awards for Innovation and Design; Best use of Social Media; Best Design/Creative Campaign; Start Up Business of the Year and Charity of the Year, with the winning charity benefiting from becoming the benefactors of next year’s awards.
The winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony at the Mere Resort, Knutsford, in November.
The closing date for entries is September 30. Entry is free and forms are available via www. necb awards.co.uk.
