- BRIAN MOORES

SINCE we formed our partnership with the Make it Macclesfield business forum we have increasingly been informed that our reputation as an organisation supporting the community is gaining more and more admiration and recognition.

We are continually broadening the content of our website, The Thread, and it is now recognised as a great ‘one-stop shop’ for residents and visitors to our area who want to find out what’s happening locally.

If you want to plan things that you would like to do in your leisure time, and have the opportunity to win some great prizes in our on-air and website competitions tune in to 102.8FM or visit the website www. thethread.org.uk which has thousands of people looking at it each month. Community organisations, charities, and educational establishments are always welcome to become involved with us and we welcome representatives of all those groups to come on to one of our shows and inform you what they are doing.

The latest group to come in to tell us about what they are doing is a new a cappella ladies’ singing group, based at Mottram St Andrew village hall, who are offering a four-week free taster session starting on September 21. Take a look at the community news section on our website for more information.

We are also seeing increasing numbers utilising our training schemes and initiatives. If you want to find out more about us please call the office on 01625 576689, drop us an email to office@ thethread.org.uk, or pop in to see us at our studios in the Clarence Mill at Bollington. You can be assured of a warm welcome.
