Friends pay tribute to their pal

-

TRIBUTES have been paid to Kaden Gowers who is described by many as a ‘popular and caring’ young man.

Kaden, 13, died after trying to stop a car rolling away.

Friends and classmates at All Hallows Catholic College held a special prayer to the teenager the morning after his death.

In a tribute, the college’s principal, Tony Billings, said: “Kaden joined All Hallows this September, coming into Year Nine.

“In a very short space of time he made many new friends both at All Hallows and across the town.

“We are all deeply saddened by news of the tragic accident, which has taken Kaden from us.

“This morning we held a special prayer service with Year Nine where we prayed for Kaden, his family and friends, and all those who mourn his loss.

“Our chaplains have been on hand to support staff and students who are upset, and we are reaching out to Kaden’s family, reassuring them of our prayers and practical support.”

Those who knew Kaden left tributes on the Express Facebook page.

Tracy Ellis posted: ‘Hadn’t even known you for that long, you was one of them kids you couldn’t help but like. Sleep tight, kidda, you’re going to be missed by so many people’.

Leah Cornforth wrote: ‘You were always a good mate to me, can’t believe you’re gone, gonna miss you loads, pal. RIP Kaden’. A post by Laura N Liam Wilkinson said: ‘Loved by everyone. Such a popular boy.

‘RIP Kaden’.
